Ancala Water Services Executive Leadership Team is led by David Godfrey and includes the function leaders for Finance, Service Delivery, Asset Management, Commercial, Consumption & Billing and Human Resources.
The leadership team are focussed on utilising the skills, experience and dedication of the people within Ancala Water Services to drive our future growth and development.
Dave has over 25 years’ experience in the water industry, before joining Ancala Water Services he had senior operation roles in Severn Trent and Kelda Water. He moved into the non-regulated sector in 2003 and has delivered consistent performance improvement and growth in the roles he has held since that move.
He has a track record of promotion that demonstrates his extensive knowledge and drives his passion to develop people to fulfil their potential. Outside of work Dave is a keen mountain biker and is really into music.
Gary has worked in ‘the world of water’ for more than 30 years and in that time has successfully delivered in roles at all levels and in most disciplines (including some time in IT!!). This diverse experience means he has expertise in all aspects of operational, asset, project and investment programme management in both regulated and commercial environments.
In his current role of Head of Asset Management Gary is responsible for ensuring that the 3,500+ assets and more than 7,000 miles of underground networks have the optimal balance of investment and maintenance.
Outside of work Gary is an avid watcher of many sports with a big passion for football; regularly watching his favourite club Barnsley FC.
Mark has 24 years’ experience in the water and wastewater industry, including 10 years’ operating at senior leadership level. He is a chartered member at the Institution of Water & Environmental Management and the Environmental Society.
Outside of work Mark is an avid cyclist.
Alex has been managing complex operations for private and public sector clients for more than 25 years, including 14 years in the water industry. He has considerable experience across a broad spectrum of business disciplines, including company strategy, commercial management, engineering, finance and marketing.
Alex is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, an Affiliate Member of IOSH and has an MBA from Henley Business School.
To relax Alex plays the piano, reads and listens to music. He also enjoys cycling, walking and a number of team sports.
Catherine has over 20 years of generalist HR experience. Predominately working in the private sector and more specifically, manufacturing businesses, Catherine’s breadth of knowledge and experience in the Training and Development, Wellbeing and People Leadership areas are strengths to be utilised now and in the future at Ancala Water Services Limited. In Catherine’s personal time she enjoys cycling and walking.
Paul is mostly based at our Barnsley office but often visits our regional offices including Swindon.
Paul started working in road construction before joining the water industry in 2000 as an operations manager. Since then he has worked for utility companies, main contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers in a variety of roles before joining Ancala Water Services in 2019.
He is married with 2 children and lives in Chesire. Paul is a keen fly fisherman and spends as much time as possible fishing for trout and grayling.
Naveed is a fellow member of ACCA with over 15 years of experience working within large manufacturing and engineering organisations. He is very passionate, driven and results-focused. Before joining Ancala Water Services he spent last 8 years with Sulzer in senior finance leadership roles.
Outside of work Naveed enjoys watching football, boxing and is a keen cricketer.
