The Ancala Water Services Executive Team is led by Mike Howarth and includes the function leaders for Finance, Operations, Commercial, Business Development and Human Resources.
The leadership team are focussed on utilising the skills, experience and dedication of the people within Ancala Water Services to drive our future growth and development.
Mike has been working in the defence sector for over 25 years and brings to Ancala his experience from previous senior executive roles with companies such as BAE Systems, QinetiQ, Serco and Babcock. He has extensive experience of delivery of support services and programmes to end users in both the defence equipment and wider estate infrastructure environment.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys running and is a qualified scuba diver.
Naveed is a fellow member of ACCA with over 15 years of experience working within large manufacturing and engineering organisations. He is very passionate, driven and results-focused. Before joining Ancala Water Services he spent 8 years with Sulzer in senior finance leadership roles.
Outside of work, Naveed enjoys watching football, boxing and is a keen cricketer.
Andrew has a vast amount of water industry experience through 15 years at Severn Trent Water whereby he fulfilled several senior leadership roles. During this time he has developed a wide range of business knowledge through operational leadership, change management and asset management experience.
Andrew has built up a track record of delivering out-performance at all levels. This has been achieved through his drive and passion to create an environment where his team members can achieve their goals. Andrew is Chartered Manager and a fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. Additionally, he has an MBA which was achieved at Cranfield University.
Outside of work, Andrew is married with three children, is a keen runner, and enjoys watching Boxing and Formula 1.
Cathryn has worked in HR for over 20 years in the manufacturing and not-for-profit sectors. She is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development and has achieved post-graduate certificates in Employment Law and Talent and Career Management. Cathryn is passionate about investing in people through effective talent management and development and delivering a great employee experience.
Outside of work, Cathryn plays hockey, paddleboards and enjoys spending time with her family.
Paul started working in road construction before joining the water industry in 2000 as an operations manager. Since then he has worked for utility companies, main contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers in a variety of roles before joining Ancala Water Services in 2019.
He is married with 2 children and lives in Cheshire. Paul is a keen fly fisherman and spends as much time as possible fishing for trout and grayling.
Ian has over 25 years’ experience within the utility industry in various leadership positions in the UK and Overseas. After initially training as an Electrical Engineer, Ian’s career has progressed through various Engineering and Management roles, primarily within Water and Electricity distribution businesses. Before joining Ancala Water Services, he has held several Exec and Non-Exec positions, including Board Director of Veolia Water UK.
Ian has a track record of growing businesses within the Utilities sector and passionately believes in establishing working relationships which are built on trust and aligned objectives. He specialises in driving innovative solutions to create business improvements for clients and their customers.
Outside of work, Ian is married and has very active twins who keep him busy!
