How to submit your water meter reading
Here you’ll find answers to questions about reading your water meter. Find out how to send your meter readings to us and how often you should be reading your water meter.

Your meter is most likely to be found next to the internal stop tap, usually under your kitchen sink or in the garage or it may be outside under a small manhole with “WATER” written on the top. You might need to use a flat blade screwdriver to open the lid.
Your meter serial number is usually shown on your bill and this will match the number on your meter however sometimes the meter serial number is not visible on the meter, if you need to check which meter is yours you can run a tap and see the meter dials turning.
Please only read your meter if you feel it is safe for you to do.
Reading your water meter is quick and easy. Please can you submit both the black and red numbers shown on the meter using a decimal point between the different colored numbers.
