Water Supply Temporary Use Bans
Due to low rainfall coupled with exceptionally high temperatures, water companies are implementing their Drought Plans. This can include Temporary Use Bans (TUBs), commonly referred to as hosepipe bans.
AWS cascade the instructions for TUBs to impacted customers. The links below are to current TUBs, these links will be updated when new information/ updates becomes available:
- Southern Water have published they are introducing a TUB to protect supplies in the Hampshire and Isle of Wight areas effective is from 09:00 21st July 2025 and prohibits the use of hosepipes and sprinklers across Hampshire and Isle of Wight. - Thames Water have published they are introducing a TUB to protect supplies in the Midlands area effective from 00:01 22nd July 2025 and prohibits the use of hosepipes and sprinklers across the affected area; postcodes starting with OX, GL, SN, RG4, RG8 and RG9.
