So, when each of us was tasked with sharing our bold and brilliant ideas at our annual get-together, our 1% Club contributors did not disappoint in showcasing their creativity and commercial flair! News News 05.12.24 This year, our Control Centre decided to do something different to the usual ‘Secret Santa’ and took part in The Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal, helping spread the joy of Christmas to families whose children would otherwise not receive a present. After shopping for boys and girls across the 0-16 years age range, the Control Centre team delivered their gifts to their local Salvation Army donation centre ready for wrapping and distribution to those in need. News News 05.11.2024 Our HR team recently took full advantage of one of our many brilliant benefits and spent the day supporting a homelessness charity in Sheffield. The Archer Project has been supporting individuals for over 30 years with things they need right now, such as warm clothing and food supplies but also with longer-term support such as housing and health. The team spent hours sorting through bags and boxes of food, clothing and care donations from local groups as part of The Project’s ‘Harvest Appeal’ as they prepare for the harsh winter period. News News 03.10.24 Did you know that one of the benefits of working at Ancala Water Services is having the opportunity to take two paid days per year for helping charitable causes? Our Assurance Team did just that, recently getting their hands dirty by helping tidy a council run public space at Cannon Hall Museum Gardens close to our Redbrook office. They rely heavily on volunteers to keep the space looking good and useable for visitors. This is a key outside green space for the local community, so the team wanted to use their volunteer days as a whole team together in the local environment. The team were met by many local people who stopped to talk, and they thought it was a great benefit that AWS give all employees two days a year to volunteer. The team were able to get out of the office and spend time together as a team in the fresh air, strengthening connections, as well as their muscles!
